*Josh solo
*Josh with bassist.
*Julie.
*Josh and Julie with bassist Catherine Popper
*Coffee houses, tips
*Drums--Alan Lerner
*Small clubs
*Bigger clubs---pay
*Colleges---more pay
*Hotels---pay hey!
*Private events
*Album recorded, released.
*Sports Arena in Kazahkstan
*Little or no press but lots of people
*Swing movement peaks, dies
*Band dissolves, Julie and Josh stay together
*Resurgence with "The Maxes" and "The Maxes Sing Al Hoffman"
The band performed before 3,000 music fans as the headliners at Central Park's Summerstage program in July 2005, playing the music of the late Nick Drake with an 18-member band including a 13-piece orchestra.
2 CDs are available; the raw "Make It Snappy" and 2007's "The Maxes".
"The Maxes Sing Al Hoffman" soon.
Josh Max writes words and music, and plays most of the instruments on the "The Maxes".
